Trapeze sailing is fun in its purest form—a kind of joy that is often missing in modern life. In a world where efficiency, productivity, and achievement are paramount, we sometimes forget how to simply enjoy the moment.

Trapeze sailing is often associated with small skiffs, Hobie Cat, and other compact catamarans such a Nacra etc. However, I’d argue that this view is too narrow—trapeze sailing can be just as thrilling and fun on a Farrier or Corsair trimaran.

Granted trapezing on a trimaran does not deliver any performance gains as it would on a light weight dinghy or catamaran, but that’s not the point. This is about the pure joy of sailing and the fun of the experience.
The stability and space of a trimaran provide a unique platform for learning trapeze sailing as well. It opens up a new dimension of playfulness on the water.

Try it out next time you are out, and if you have kids onboard they will surely love this.
Balancing the boat while suspended in midair immerses you in a sense of freedom that is hard to find elsewhere.
Sadly, “having fun” has become a forgotten art for many, overshadowed by the demands of daily life. We often get so caught up in meeting expectations, crossing off tasks, or proving ourselves that we forget to just play.

Something that can’t be manufactured or rushed. In a sense, trapeze sailing is an antidote to the relentless seriousness that often dominates our lives, a chance to rediscover the joy of living in the moment.
